I live in Canada and have ordered online custom embroidered patches a few times (the company I use is based in the US but they ship worldwide). The quality really does come down to the thread type and how well the details are digitized that’s what makes the colors stay vibrant and the edges clean.
From my experience, good digitizing makes the biggest difference, especially for small designs on jackets or hats. I’ve had sets made for both personal use and a small team project, and they held up really well after washing.
