elegantdhaFor about a month the front right tyre on my Infiniti Q50 has been wearing more on the inside edge, and a tyre shop pointed it out when I went for a puncture. Now I also hear a dull clunk over speed bumps, and the steering feels a little loose when I go over rough patches. I live in MBZ City, the car has about eighty five thousand kilometres, and I drive to Abu Dhabi most days on the highway. My brother says it is only a bad alignment and I should not spend more. A friend says uneven tyre wear plus a clunk usually means a worn lower control arm or bushing, and that waiting can ruin more tyres. I looked online for a Top lower control arm replacement for Infiniti in MBZ City, but every page said the same thing, so I still do not know what a proper check looks like. How does a shop test the arm, do they lift the car and pull on the wheel to feel for play? Can they show me the cracked rubber before I pay? Should both sides be changed together, or only the worn one? Is an alignment included after the job, or is it extra? How long does it take, and what should it cost on an Infiniti? Is it safe to drive a few weeks if I go gently? If your car had the same tyre wear and clunk, please tell me what the cause was, what you paid, and what you would do differently. Easy answers help me most.
